This lovely walking or “pocket” decade Rosary features a beautiful bronze medal of St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus and an ornate bronze crucifix. Both are pure bronze vintage reproductions.
St. Thérèse was called “The greatest Saint of modern times” by Pope St. Pius X. Her mission was to teach souls to love “the Good God” through her Little Way of abandonment and love. She lived a short, but fervent life, and died at the young age of 24 in her Carmelite convent in Lisieux. One of her favorite devotions as a child was to count her sacrifices using sacrifice beads in preparation for her First Holy Communion. This delicate Rosary can also be used for this devotion.
The crucifix measures 40mm by 25 mm and the medal is 24mm in length by 15mm wide. The back has an inscription of “Ste. Thérèse de l’Enfant-Jésus” ~ her name in French script.
The Ave beads are beautiful 7-8mm oval blush pink Aurora Borealis Opal gemstone beads and the Pater bead is a 10mm faceted deep red garnet. Both are ornamented with beautiful brass and bronze bead caps.
Each Rosary is carefully handmade and the recipient is prayed for during the creation process.
