This handmade set features the royal emblem of the Fleur de Lys medal, the French symbol of royalty and a medieval symbol of Our Lady.

In the Middle Ages, the Fleur de Lys (from the French ~ Lily Flower) was a symbol of the purity of Our Lady.  It was also used on the insignia of the French Royal Families, notably the coat of arms of King St. Louis IX and his mother St. Blanche de Castille.

This necklace features a 30 mm x 20 mm Fleur de Lys medal.  It is pewter with a 12 k antiqued gold finish; free of lead and cadmium.  It hangs from a 17” gold chain with a 2” chain extension piece.  The necklace has a hand-beaded inset of faceted glass and crystal beads in blush pink and clear.  The earrings are designed to match this decorative element in the chain.  The earring wires are gold-covered 19 mm hooks with a dainty ball accent.  They come with two flower earring backs, made of a soft rubber.
