The Ave beads are beautiful 6mm fancy jasper, reminiscent of the colorful gardens around Tepeyac Hill where Our Lady appeared to St. Juan Diego.  The Pater beads are rose-colored jasper, reminders of the robe she wears in the tilma image; they are accented with bronze and brass bead caps.
